On Gasparilla Island Florida, in the village of Boca Grande, you will find a tiny gem of a store called the Grapevine Gourmet & Gift. Housed in the historic “Old Theatre” building, The Grapevine provides the island community with sophisticated gourmet foods as well as an eclectic array of home goods and gifts.

In 1973 Paul J. Kruder, of Akron, Ohio, bought and renovated the historic old movie theater in Boca Grande called the San Marco Theatre. He and his daughter, Kathleen Turner, eventually opened a restaurant called PJ’s Seagrille in the building. PJ’s Seagrille grew into an award-winning restaurant serving island locals and visitors to this day. PJ’s was so popular, in 1989, the family decided to open a companion store in the same Old Theatre building. Naming it for the wines to be carried, the store ultimately grew into a hub of local activity, so the Grapevine name could be said to carry a double meaning.

Today The Grapevine offers an expertly trained staff to provide assistance in our cheese, wine, catering, and gift departments.

The Grapevine has developed the reputation for being the ultimate "cocktail party Headquarters" in Boca Grande. Providing an extensive catering-to-go menu, allows for effortless entertaining possibilities. The Grapevine also offers daily chef- made lunches, baked goods, hors d’oeuvres and dinners to take home, to the beach or to the next party.
